Idli is a very famous snack from the south of India but popular across the world. This recipe is another version of idli in a crispy cake form. A wonderful snack to be eaten with a spicy pickle.
3 cups idli batter
2 tsp Zeera
2 tbsp oil
In a broad kadhadi or a shallow round bottom pan , heat the oil and add the zeera. Let it crackle and pour the batter over it. Place a small steel glass , half filled with water in the centre of the batter. Cover and cook for at least 20 mins on slow flame or till the bottom of the batter gets crisp. Overturn on to a plate and cut slices. Serve with a spicy chutney or pickle.
